Monster has worked in the mining sector throughout northern BC. We primarily work in large developed mine sites but also work with drilling companies and junior mines to develop projects.

80 Ton Barge

Hi-Tech Drilling

Completed August 2012

Monster Industries designed and fabricated this 4 piece sectional 80 ton barge for a floating drill rig. The sections are 40ft long and 8ft wide with an internal support for the drill to be able to drill through the barge. Monster industries assisted the client with certification of these barge assemblies with the Ministry of Transportation.

Scope of Work:

  • All Design and Engineered drawings
  • All Material ordering and shipping
  • Fabrication of sections with sealed internal baffled
  • Pressure testing of sections
  • Handrail and pin connection fabrication and design

Hi-Tech Drilling - 80 Ton Barge

Rock Breaker

Huckleberry Mines

Monster Industries removed, rebuilt and reinstalled the rock breaker as well as the concrete base for Huckleberry mines. The primary crusher rock breaker was worn out and the concrete pad that it was sitting on was fractured and the anchor bolts had let loose. Monster Industries was contracted to rebuild the rock breaker as well as the concrete slab and reinforce the underside with new supporting structure.

Scope of Work:

  • All Concrete, rebar and forming
  • All Material ordering and shipping
  • Fabrication of new breaker base
  • Pressure testing of sections
  • Handrail and pin connection fabrication and design
  • All line boring and new pins manufactured by Monster
  • Rebuilt all cylinders
  • All QC and Safety practices
  • Worked with client and engineering firm together

Huckleberry Mines - Rock Breaker

Catwalk Bridge Assembly

Huckleberry Mines

Monster Industries fabricated, delivered and installed the engineered walkway for Huckleberry Mines to assist with the safe unloading of condensate at their Shipping Terminal in Stewart BC. The structure was designed to help assist Drives inspect and unload their trucks using a tipper table.

Scope of Work:

  • Fabrication of catwalk and supports onsite at Monster Industries
  • All equipment and rigging services needed to load/unload and install catwalk
  • Preparation and painting
  • All safety Practices, QA/QC and implementation
  • Worked with both client and engineering firm to deliver a quality project on time and on budget

Huckleberry Mines - Catwalk Bridge Assembly

Field Erected Tanks

SNC Lavalin/Glencore

Completed November 2014

Monster Industries designed, planned and fabricated 2 large reactor tanks as well as supporting structure and sludge lime tank for the Bell copper mine water treatment plant. The reactor tanks are 40ft tall and 30ft wide, each tank is capable of holding 790,000 liters. The bridge structure was completely supported by the 2 tanks as well as the sludge lime tank.

Scope of Work:

  • Engineered and designed project
  • Supplied all Material and fabrication for project
  • Supplied all Project management for entire scope of work
  • All rigging and Crane services needed to install all structural components as well as Mechanical
  • All safety Practices, QA/QC and implementation
  • All NDT requirements as per API 650 specifications
  • Commission and assist with startup
